Government has decided to postpone the NEET UG test by another year after opposition from several states like Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, West Bengal, Goa etc. According to the press release on CBSE website NEET UG is postponed by a year and NEET UG will take place in 2013 instead of 2012.

PRESS RELEASEAs per communication received from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India regarding seeking permission from the Hon’ble Supreme Court to allow introduction of NEET for Under Graduate Medical Courses from the academic year 2013-14 instead of 2012-13, the Central Board of Secondary Education would now conduct the All India Pre-Medical/ Pre-Dental Entrance Examination only for the 15% all India quota seats as per following schedule:
AIPMT Preliminary Examination – 1st April, 2012 (Sunday)
AIPMT Final Examination – 13th May, 2012 (Sunday)The eligibility conditions, centre cities, syllabus, pattern, etc. will remain the similar to AIPMT 2011 Examination for which the information is already available on website www.aipmt.nic.in.
The schedule for the submission of application forms would be shortly communicated.

I am a student studying 11th from Tamil Nadu.My suggestion is we need NEET exam to take place in Tamil Nadu.Because the medical students who get new admission are just muggupping and scoring marks and they have no knowledge about what have they studied.Imagine if they become doctors without any originality what will happen to the patients..We want NEET….

sir, i have complted inter bipc 1st year in 2012{ipe exam held in 2012 march} and iam going to join inter 2nd year in june 2012 and iam going to write eamcet or neet in 2013.. all are telling neet is applicable from 2013-2014… it means for me neet or eamcet?
